There are many options out there so talk to a few of them, find out what’s the right loan for you, what is your budget, and they will assist you in working out the right plan of attack. This will put you in a powerful position to move quickly when you find your home.

15 things you’ll need when getting approved:

  • Most recent 2 years W-2’s
  • Most recent 30 days of pay-check stubs
  • Most recent 2 years of 1040 federal tax returns & schedules, all pages
  • Most recent 2 months of checking & savings account statements, all pages
  • Last quarterly Retirement Statement, stocks, mutual funds, IRA’s, all pages
  • Driver’s licenses
  • Social Security card
  • Preferred home owners insurance agent
  • Purchase agreement or contract
  • Current landlord/apt complex name & phone number
  • Any derogatory credit will need letter of explanation
  • Divorce decree (if applicable)
  • College transcripts (if applicable)
  • Any large deposit in asset statements will need to be documented
